Lyndall & James at Calistoga Ranch – Calistoga, California

by

I was excited to work with this awesome couple, and explore this new venue. Calistoga Ranch was everything I had expected and more, much more. It’s got the charm and welcome home feeling of a small town but with the perks and accommodations of a fancy big city. The scenery and landscape are breathtaking at every turn. The locations for ceremony and reception are perfectly complimenting of each other and the food is unmatched. Needless to say I was delighted at the outcome of this event. I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking on this one.

Farm wedding at Delta Diamond Farm – Isleton, California

by

Where do I start with this one, these two lovebirds were a dream to work with from the very start. Cassi and Alex exude everything that is love, romance, friendship, and all the laughs and breathtaking moments that you picture when you think of engaged couples. They certainly have all the qualities that are needed for sustaining a lifelong partnership in marriage. They knew what they wanted and that was each other, both were also fortunate enough to have wonderful examples of love and long term commitment in watching their own parent’s successful marriages growing up. Cassi knew what she wanted for the style of her wedding and after only a few short consultations entrusted me with the most important day of their young lives. The outcome was as breathtakingly beautiful as these two love birds are!!

Vintage “Precious Cargo” Baby Shower

by

We were swamped with the end of wedding season and all of the adorable photo shoots for the Halloween holiday, sorry we missed our last bog entry. I have to share this baby shower we did recently at a historic building in Oakley, CA because it stole my heart! Something about the Red Radio Flyer wagon and gumball machines brought me back to my childhood.

I remember I used to hoard (AND HIDE) bags and bags full of candy and gumballs so that my sisters couldn’t find them and eat them… True story, I had a candy stash that would make anyone’s eyes widen… In the end I always ended up sharing it with them but the feeling of “wealth” that it gave me at 7 years old was tremendous! This baby shower had all the bells and whistles, the location, the furniture, the kitchenware, the accessories.

I hope everyone enjoys looking at it as much as we enjoyed creating & styling it!!
Now bring on the Holidays!!!

The Lighthouse

by

We are so excited to share a spectacular new wedding venue with you all! What an amazing experience to have been included as one of many amazing vendors in the Grand Opening of the historic Lighthouse at Glen Cove Marina, a breathtaking waterfront venue nestled into a quaint private cove in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I want to start by saying thank you to Marie, the events manager at the The Lighthouse. We have met so many amazing people working in this industry that have invited and welcomed us into their worlds of success, but Marie has been exceptionally welcoming to us, giving us many opportunities that we couldn’t have dreamed of! We were speechless when we walked this venue for the first time.

The grounds are magnificent and the style in which they have restored this place is impeccable and the timing of the Opening couldn’t be better with the wedding trends hitting its peak of vintage style and now with a new twist of beach weddings coming into the picture as well! I know this place will do amazingly well. I can’t say enough positive things about this venue and the people associated with it so I will let the photographs tell the rest of the story for me!

We hope you all enjoy the beautiful photos and flowers which were provided by Adeline & Grace Photography and Angels Petals. If anyone is interested in more information please let us know! Enjoy!

Something Old and New

by

Well it’s pretty obvious that we love all things old around here with our obsession of vintage but we also love old traditions (hence the blog title) and It’s been so much fun getting to know our clients and learning about their family’s different traditions!

What a whirlwind it has been starting our own business. There have been a lot of ups and downs, but just like everything else in life we figured out that it just takes balance and a whole lot of patience to make it through. Now of course none of this would have been possible without all of our amazing clients so we want to take a moment and thank all of YOU who entrusted us with such hugely important events in your lives; it truly means everything to us! Without all of you, the success of this business would never have been possible, and we don’t take that lightly! So to all of you we say THANK YOU!

Now to all of our new (and future) clients, we want to welcome you! Come on in and take a look around, we hope that you will be truly inspired by all of the different & beautiful events that we’ve created with so many amazing people involved! We can only hope that things will continue to grow at the pace they have thus far.
